Lex Veldhuis got his first poker deposit from a friend. Ten dollars on PokerStars sometime in 2005, and he dropped out of university not long after. He never really looked back.
He grew up in Vlissingen in the Netherlands and came up through StarCraft before poker took over completely. What followed was seventeen years as a PokerStars ambassador, two Poker Streamer of the Year awards, and a peak of 58,799 concurrent viewers during a 2020 SCOOP run that briefly made his the most watched channel on all of Twitch.
In January 2026 that chapter closed. One of the longest ambassador partnerships in poker history ended quietly, and Lex came back as a free agent. The audience came back with him almost immediately.
He now streams across Twitch, Kick and YouTube, putting around $100,000 of his own money into the toughest online tournaments he can find every single month. No sponsorship obligations, no restrictions on where he plays. Just twenty years of experience and a chat that has been around long enough to know exactly what they are watching.
