Paulo discovered poker in 2014 when a friend introduced him at university and describes it as love at first sight. After marrying and bills tightening, he took the game seriously, spent a year and a half playing for a friend to build knowledge, saved up $2,500 and went solo in December 2020. He has been grinding MTTs at an average buy-in of $8.50 ever since, documenting the routine of a family man working his way up one tournament at a time.

Nearly 15,000 followers have gathered around a channel that goes well beyond the stream itself. Coaching connections through Aldeia Poker Team, tax advice for poker players through ChipTax, GTO Wizard study tools and WPT Global for anyone who wants to play alongside him. Half of all donations go to social causes, which tells you something about the kind of channel Paulo is trying to build. A genuine grinding story with a community built around shared progress rather than highlight reels.
