The most watched female streamer in 2025 generated 49 million hours watched and nobody knows what she looks like. Sakura Miko streams as an animated character through a Japanese agency most people outside the VTuber world have never heard of, and she is not an exception. Eight of the top 20 female streamers use virtual avatars and VTubers now account for 40% of all female streaming watch hours. The one creator who broke through without any of that infrastructure was Emiru, who in 2025 became the first female Twitch streamer ever to cross 10 million hours watched in a single year.

The Biggest Female Streamers Right Now
Five of the nine names below stream as animated characters. That split is the story.
Miko Ch.
Miko Ch. finished 2025 with 49.4 million hours watched. Her New Year's Day stream alone peaked at 210,000 concurrent viewers. She streams inside the Hololive machine, which means concerts, merch drops and scheduled events feeding into the numbers alongside the actual streams.
Pekora Ch.
Pekora generated 47.5 million hours watched in 2025 and peaked above 355,000 concurrent viewers. Same Hololive setup, same result. Nobody outside the VTuber ecosystem is touching those numbers. Between the two of them they generated close to 100 million hours watched in a single year, which is why nobody outside that tier is close right now.
Emiru
The first female Twitch streamer ever to cross 10 million hours watched in a single year, and she did it streaming cosplay, variety games and whatever she felt like. She did it without an agency behind her and without hiding behind an avatar. She has 2.1 million followers and peaked at 43,617 viewers in 2025, all while co-owning OTK. Among all female streamers globally, only the top Hololive VTubers have more hours watched.
Virginia Fonseca
Virginia Fonseca had never streamed on Twitch before February 2026. She went live to show her preparations for the Brazilian Carnival, peaked at 663,000 concurrent viewers, the highest peak for any female streamer in Q1 2026, and became the most watched female on the platform that month. She has 55 million Instagram followers and 12 million YouTube subscribers. The celebrity audience she brought had essentially no overlap with the existing Twitch userbase.
Ironmouse
ironmouse streams as an animated demon girl character from Puerto Rico while managing CVID, a chronic immune deficiency that has left her largely homebound. She started in 2017 because it was one of the few things she could do from her situation.
Over her career her 2.43 million Twitch followers have watched 85.5 million hours of content, with a peak of 45,600 concurrent viewers. In September 2024 she briefly became the most-subscribed Twitch streamer of all time, beating Kai Cenat's record during a subathon before he reclaimed it two months later.
Pokimane
Still the most-followed female channel on Twitch at 9.46 million followers with a 2025 peak of 40,866 concurrent viewers. She has deliberately stepped back from regular streaming to focus on business projects and off-platform content. When she does go live, the audience still shows up.
Wendolynortizz
7.63 million hours watched on Twitch in 2025 with a peak of 83,079 concurrent viewers in May 2025, making her the fastest-rising female IRL streamer of the year. Her IRL streams focus on daily life content, but the growth curve is what stands out. She currently averages over 14,000 concurrent viewers per session.
Cinna
8.7 million hours watched in 2025 with a peak of 67,502 concurrent viewers and 1.14 million followers. Just Chatting, workout streams, public IRL content, occasional games. She has been live since 2020. Regular collaborations with Emiru and Valkyrae. She hits those numbers without relying on one-off event spikes.
Monjori_fujisawa_nana
Joined Kick in late 2025. Generated 2.2 million hours watched in Q1 2026 alone, averaging 10,000 concurrent viewers that quarter, which makes her the only female streamer on Kick consistently above five figures in viewership.
The VTuber Takeover
Eight of the top 20 female streamers use virtual avatars. VTubers account for 40% of all watch hours among top female streamers.
The format started in Japan, where Hololive and Nijisanji built the agency model that turned individual creators into talent rosters with shared infrastructure, event schedules, and production budgets. Miko Ch. and Pekora Ch. are the clearest proof of what that system produces at full scale. The English-language side came later, with VShojo building the western equivalent.
The reasons female streamers have moved toward virtual avatars are not complicated. Harassment is significantly easier to absorb when the target is a fictional character rather than your actual face. The avatar creates distance that traditional streaming does not. It also opens up creative territory around character lore, costume variations, and community rituals that are harder to build around a person sitting in front of a camera.
As of recent data, around 4.5% of the top 200 Twitch channels are run by female streamers. That number has barely moved in years. Twitch has responded by adding a dedicated female tag at twitch.tv/directory/all/tags/FEMALE, making it easier for viewers to specifically discover female creators without competing against the broader category rankings. VTubers have not fixed the gender gap, but they’ve created a format where female creators can build significant audiences with a structural layer of protection that did not previously exist.
Emiru did it without any of that, and the numbers back her up. Most people aren’t Emiru.
Female Casino Streamers
Female casino streamers are rare. The few who produce gambling content tend to use YouTube for clips rather than running dedicated live streams, and the same regulatory and platform pressures that affect male casino streamers apply here without exception.
The category is small but it exists. The barrier is not interest, it is visibility. Casino streaming has historically been a male-dominated space and the directory pages reflect that. But the audience for female casino content is there, particularly around live casino games like roulette and blackjack where the format lends itself to a different kind of stream energy than slots.
If you want to find female streamers building in this space, the live gambling streams directory is the best place to look. The new streamers section tracks who is just getting started. Browse all casino streamers to see who is live right now across Twitch, Kick and YouTube.
